Aesthetic Approach for Extracted Upper Primary Incisors In A 4 ½ Year-Old Child - A Case Report

📝Abstract

Background: The cornerstone of pediatric dental practice is successfully rehabilitating a preschooler with advanced carious lesions at esthetic level.

Case Description: A 4½-year-old male child was brought with a chief complaint of discolored upper front teeth. Clinical examination revealed multiple carious teeth with root stumps in upper primary incisors. Following extraction of carious primary teeth, aesthetic rehabilitation was done using strip crowns with composite resin restoration.

Conclusion: Early childhood caries management with aesthetic rehabilitation using strip crowns provides functional and esthetic outcomes while maintaining the natural arch development.
