Abstract
Background: Oral health is an essential component of general health and significantly contributes to quality of life. School teachers play a vital role in educating children about oral health.
Aim: To assess the oral hygiene status and knowledge awareness of periodontal disease among school teachers.
Results: The study revealed varying levels of awareness and knowledge regarding periodontal diseases among the participants.
Conclusion: Oral health education programs should be conducted regularly for school teachers.
