Background: Malignancy is more common in the mandibular posterior region and it requires surgical intervention followed by prosthetic rehabilitation to restore mastication, aesthetics, and quality of life. Case Report: A 53-year-old male patient who underwent surgical resection was advised for rehabilitation of the defect. Both intra-oral and extraoral examination were carried out, followed by impression and tentative jaw relation. Wire components were fabricated using 21-gauge wire and adapted in the cast followed by acrylic resin to hold the wire component. The prosthesis was trimmed, polished and inserted; occlusion was verified and postoperative instructions given. Conclusion: Following mandibulectomy, a guide flange interim prosthesis allows the patient to perform everyday activities like chewing while preventing jaw deviation to the affected side.
